Why work with Land to Homes in Hampshire
Your preferences shape our plans
Knowing what buyers want in an area helps us decide the mix of homes, from smaller starter homes to larger family houses, when we plan a site.
Affordable routes signposted
If you need shared ownership or another affordable route, we explain how eligibility works. It is set by councils and housing providers, not by us.
Rules for each nation
Buying is different in each nation, from missives in Scotland to Land Transaction Tax in Wales. We point you to the rules that apply where you want to live.
Consumer protection explained
We explain the New Homes Quality Code and the New Homes Ombudsman Service in neutral terms, so you know what protections to look for when buying any new home.
Planning in Hampshire: the English rules
If you rent privately in Hampshire, the Renters' Rights Act 2025 now shapes your tenancy: most tenancies run from one rent period to the next, rent can usually only be raised once a year through a formal process, and no-fault evictions have ended. Affordable options in England include Social Rent, Affordable Rent at up to 80% of market rent, and shared ownership. Land to Homes plans homes for sale and rent, and you can register interest now.
In England, buyers usually pay Stamp Duty Land Tax and the purchase is registered with HM Land Registry. Many developers register with the New Homes Quality Board and follow its code. New homes must meet the Building Regulations, and estates often carry management charges where roads or open space are not adopted, so check these before reserving.

Common questions in Hampshire
Can I buy a new home through shared ownership?
Shared ownership and other affordable home ownership routes are usually provided by housing associations and other registered providers, sometimes on homes built by developers. Eligibility and the share you can buy are set by the provider and the scheme rules, not by us. If affordable homes form part of a site we bring forward, we will tell you who to contact.
What should I check before reserving a new-build home?
Check the specification and what is included, the tenure and any lease terms, estate or service charges for roads and open space, the warranty and who provides it, and the reservation terms. Ask whether the developer is registered with the New Homes Quality Board. Instruct your own solicitor early, and visit the site if you can.
Does Land to Homes have any new homes for sale?
Not yet. Land to Homes is a new venture and has no homes, developments or plots for sale or reservation at the moment. You can register interest with the area and type of home you want, and we will contact you if we bring forward homes that match. We never ask for a deposit to register interest.
How does registering interest work?
You give us your contact details, the areas you are interested in, the type and size of home you need and your rough timing. We use that to contact you about relevant new homes and to understand demand when we plan sites. It is free, it is not a reservation and you can ask us to remove your details at any time.
Can I register for new homes in Hampshire?
Yes. Registering for Hampshire is free and does not commit you to anything. There are no homes available yet; if we bring homes forward in or near Hampshire, we will contact you.
