Why work with Land to Homes in Nottinghamshire
Signposting to advice
We cannot advise on individual tenancy problems, but we can point you to independent housing advice services in your nation.
Clear information first
Before any home is offered, expect the rent, the tenancy type, the deposit arrangements and what is included to be set out in writing.
Private rent and build to rent
Homes for private rent may be let by us or by an institutional build to rent partner, depending on how a site is funded and managed.
Modern standards
New homes are built to the current building regulations or building standards of their nation for energy efficiency, insulation and safety.
The English system, as it applies in Nottinghamshire
If you rent privately in Nottinghamshire, the Renters' Rights Act 2025 now shapes your tenancy: most tenancies run from one rent period to the next, rent can usually only be raised once a year through a formal process, and no-fault evictions have ended. Affordable options in England include Social Rent, Affordable Rent at up to 80% of market rent, and shared ownership. Land to Homes plans homes for sale and rent, and you can register interest now.
In England, the Renters' Rights Act 2025 has replaced assured shorthold tenancies with assured periodic tenancies for most private lets, ending section 21 'no fault' evictions. Deposits must be protected in a government-approved scheme. Social and affordable rent homes are let by councils and registered providers, which are regulated by the Regulator of Social Housing.

Common questions in Nottinghamshire
How do I register interest in renting a new home?
Give us your contact details, the areas you are interested in, the type and size of home you need and roughly when you want to move. We use that to contact you about relevant homes and to understand rental demand when we plan sites. It is free, it is not an application and you can ask us to remove your details at any time.
What is build to rent?
Build to rent means homes designed and built specifically for renting, usually owned by one landlord and professionally managed as a whole development. Schemes often include on-site management and shared spaces. Land to Homes talks to institutional partners about build to rent, but we have no build to rent homes available at present.
Does Land to Homes have any homes to rent?
No, not yet. Land to Homes is a new venture and has no homes available to rent. We do not take rental applications, holding deposits or fees at this stage. You can register interest with the area, type of home and timing you need, and we will contact you if we bring forward rental homes that match.
How are tenancies different in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland?
In Wales, tenants are contract-holders under occupation contracts set by the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016. Most private tenancies in Scotland are open-ended private residential tenancies. In Northern Ireland, private tenancies are governed by the Private Tenancies Order, as amended by the Private Tenancies Act 2022. Each nation has its own rules on deposits, notice and landlord registration.
Can I register for new homes in Nottinghamshire?
Yes. Registering for Nottinghamshire is free and does not commit you to anything. There are no homes available yet; if we bring homes forward in or near Nottinghamshire, we will contact you.
