Planning in Uxbridge: the English rules
Renting a new home in Uxbridge? In England, most private tenancies are now assured periodic tenancies with no fixed end date, and since 1 May 2026 landlords can no longer use section 21 no-fault evictions. New-build buyers usually receive a structural warranty and buy through exchange of contracts and completion, paying Stamp Duty Land Tax where it is due. Land to Homes has no homes for sale or rent yet, but you can register your interest.
In England, the Renters' Rights Act 2025 has replaced assured shorthold tenancies with assured periodic tenancies for most private lets, ending section 21 'no fault' evictions. Deposits must be protected in a government-approved scheme. Social and affordable rent homes are let by councils and registered providers, which are regulated by the Regulator of Social Housing.

Questions about New Homes to Rent in Uxbridge
Does Land to Homes have any homes to rent?
No, not yet. Land to Homes is a new venture and has no homes available to rent. We do not take rental applications, holding deposits or fees at this stage. You can register interest with the area, type of home and timing you need, and we will contact you if we bring forward rental homes that match.
Will my deposit be protected?
In most cases, yes. Each nation requires private landlords to protect tenancy deposits in an approved scheme within a set period and to give tenants information about the scheme. The detailed rules differ between England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. If homes we bring forward are let privately, deposits will be handled under the rules that apply.
What is build to rent?
Build to rent means homes designed and built specifically for renting, usually owned by one landlord and professionally managed as a whole development. Schemes often include on-site management and shared spaces. Land to Homes talks to institutional partners about build to rent, but we have no build to rent homes available at present.
Can I apply to you for a social or affordable rent home?
No. Social and affordable rent homes are let through council housing registers and housing association lists, which set the eligibility rules and decide who is offered a home. If a site we bring forward includes affordable homes, they will be let through the relevant council or housing association. Contact your local council's housing team to join a list.
Are there new homes available in Uxbridge now?
Not yet. Land to Homes has no homes available in Uxbridge at the moment. You can register your interest for Uxbridge, and we will contact you if we bring homes forward there or nearby.
